Dry Shampoo… A busy Moms holy grail product.
There are so many brands & versions of this out there for us to choose from. Unfortunately, Most of our options are in aerosol sprays.
I am not too keen on spending lots of money on aerosols so I try to find alternatives where I can.
Since our year plastic free I found a few options for DIY dry shampoo’s and have tried most of them. After testing a bunch, I decided to make my own concoction and adapt it to my brown hair. Since 2014 Ive been using this recipe and love it!
Combine all of your ingredients into your container and gently mix
*skip cocoa powder if you are blonde
Using the tail part of the brush section off your hair
apply dry shampoo to the brush tapping of excess
Apply to your hair avoiding the scalp itself.
Repeat steps 2-4 until all your greasy spots are covered.
Gently run your fingers through your hair to fluff out
You will have a bit of fallout because this is a loose powder.
I'd suggest applying before getting dressed.
