Pandemic baking has taken the internet by storm. I have been wanting to bake but finding time to keep my two year old engaged long enough is tough.
This recipe we make together and is super quick and super simple to put together with a little ones minimal attention span.
Ingredients
6 cups Cheerios
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup honey (omit if using Honey Nut Cheerios )
Optional:
1 Tbsp flax meal
1 Tbsp hemp hearts
Directions
– Place Cheerios in a large mixing bowl
-Melt peanut butter, coconut oil, and honey in the microwave or on stovetop.
-Combine melted mixture and optional ingredients into the Cheerios bowl and mix
-Fill muffin tin with reusable liners.*
-Scoop desired amount of Cheerios mix in each space.
-Place in freezer to set. This takes 10 min or less.
-I then transfer the bites out of the liners and store in a large tupperware in the freezer.
*I like using liners because each bite pops out very easy. You can store in the liners however, I only have 12 so I use the liners to form the bites and keep the others in a larger tupperware.
Don’t forget to tag me in your pictures, I love to see how you make these.
