DIY Reusable baby wipes

When I was pregnant with Mia, Matt and I decided to try and reduce our waste as much as possible. We do cloth diapers and wanted to do reusable wipes as well.

Over time we’ve realized it was easier for us to have disposable wipes in the diaper bag for outings but when we’re at home we use reusables.

They are insanely easy to make and keep at home. We have a special set of cloths set aside for bum wipes and they are not used for any other purpose. [Read more…]

How to save money on groceries

Since Mia was born we decided that I would be a stay at home mom for a year or two. My job is contract work so I didn’t get maternity leave so we were a single income family of three. Moving provinces was also not cheap so we have had to be extra frugal.

Grocery shopping can be overwhelming with kids and since we started feeding Mia solids it took some trial and error to find something that worked for us.

Baby Powder = Fuller Lashes ???

According to Pinterest using baby powder on your lashes sandwiched between two coats of mascara will make them fuller?? Skeptical? I think so!

On one of my many midnight perusing’s of pinterest I came across this pin– click me- from Elle.com. I was intrigued yet skeptical about the entire process. I decided to test out this claim for you in real time. All you need is mascara, baby powder, and your lashes of course!

DIY Decongestant Shower Disks

Eucalyptus essential oil is effective for treating and helping to relieve a number of respiratory issues such as cold, cough, runny nose, sore throat, nasal congestion, bronchitis, sinusitis and even asthma.

Eucalyptus oil is antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and decongestant in nature, which makes it a good ingredient in many medicines that treat respiratory problems.

Eucalyptus essential oil should be a staple in your pantry during the cold and flu season. Even though winter is technically over the change is seasons is enough to get those allergies flaring and colds to start up.
